Ford now steps into this expanded role as both CEO and a member of the Board of Directors, charged with leading the continued growth and vision of WIB.
For over 20 years, Women In Bio has empowered women across biotech, pharma, and life sciences to lead, engage, and grow at every career stage. As the Executive Director of Women In Bio (WIB), Gina has been instrumental in driving WIB's national expansion, launching new chapters, and securing significant funding to scale operations and build organizational capacity.. During her tenure, she has driven WIB's impact by cultivating industry partnerships, increasing engagement across WIB's national and chapter networks, and advancing initiatives that support women in life science careers.
Ford brings over two decades of experience in life sciences, biotech, and pharmaceutical industries. Throughout her career, she has held C-Suite roles in corporate strategy, commercial strategy, portfolio management, business development, and patient advocacy.
Prior to joining WIB, she served in senior level roles for Crinetics and Ipsen Pharmaceuticals where she focused on business operations, strategy and growth. She is a proven start-up and growth-stage expert, widely sought after for her successful fundraising experience across seed, venture, and strategic capital. Her long-standing focus on patient advocacy reflects her commitment to the life science industry's core mission of improving patient outcomes through innovation.
