Premier Brazilian Steakhouse Opens First Gerogetown Location

DALLAS, Sept. 4, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Texas de Brazil Churrascaria, one of the world's largest Brazilian steakhouse groups, has officially opened its first location in Georgetown, Guyana. The restaurant, famous for its rodizio-style dining concept, is now welcoming guests at MovieTowne Mall—Guyana's premier shopping and dining destination. Surrounded by top-class restaurants, nightclubs, retail stores, and cinema entertainment, this exciting new addition is ideally positioned for both locals and visitors.

Bringing the art of Brazilian churrasco to Georgetown. Texas de Brazil is now open in Guyana.

Family-owned and operated, Texas de Brazil has partnered with the DACHIN Group of Companies to bring the time-honored tradition of churrasco-style cooking to the people of Guyana. "We're thrilled to open our latest restaurant and share this incredible dining experience here in Georgetown," says Salim Asrawi, President of Texas de Brazil. "Our mission has always been to create memorable moments for our guests by combining authentic flavors of Southern Brazil with the generous hospitality of Texas. Opening in such a vibrant location as MovieTowne allows us to bring this unique blend to a new community, and we can't wait to welcome families, friends, and visitors to enjoy it with us."

Texas de Brazil's partnership with the DACHIN Group dates back to 2011, when the Trinidad location opened. Since then, that restaurant has become one of the island's most celebrated dining destinations, earning multiple International Guest Choice Awards.

"Guyana's dining scene continues to grow and evolve, and we're excited to be part of that journey," said Ryan Chin, Director of the DACHIN Group of Companies. "Texas de Brazil is more than just a meal—it's an experience. We believe this concept will resonate deeply with guests who value exceptional food, attentive service, and an atmosphere perfect for both celebrations and everyday dining."

The world-class steakhouse offers an all-you-can-eat, continuous dining experience featuring various cuts of beef, lamb, pork, chicken, and sausage, prepared over an open flame and carved tableside by the restaurant's gauchos—Brazilian cowboys from Southern Brazil. Guests use the signature red and green cards to signal when they'd like more cuts of meat or when they're ready for a pause.

In addition to the succulent meats, diners can enjoy a gourmet salad area with more than 50 delicious items, including imported cheeses, charcuterie, Brazilian black beans, seafood, roasted vegetables, and the ever-tempting lobster bisque. The award-winning wine list, rich in South American varietals, enhances the experience, while the full bar offers craft cocktails—including the traditional Caipirinha—plus a wide selection of spirits and beers.

To end on a sweet note, guests can indulge in desserts such as house-made Brazilian flan, triple-layer chocolate mousse cake, cheesecake, and more, all served à la carte.
