Symmatrics Launches AI & Post-Quantum Readiness Pledge to Drive Industry Preparedness

Initiative encourages organizations to take proactive steps toward AI and quantum-era security readiness to Advance Cybersecurity Preparedness
TYSONS, Va., Sept. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- A new industry commitment convened by Symmatrics, the pioneer of Internet-scale One-Time Pad symmetric encryption and creator of a breakthrough quantum-secure trust layer, is bringing organizations together around a shared priority: preparing now for the security challenges of the AI and quantum era. The new cross-sector AI & Post-Quantum Readiness Pledge, accessible online via the Symmatrics website, launched July 27 at the grand opening of Symmatrics' headquarters in Tysons Corner, VA, and began with a founding cohort of organizations committing to concrete steps toward greater cryptographic resilience and post-quantum preparedness.
The pledge reflects growing momentum around a shift already taking place across industry. NIST has published post-quantum cryptography standards and is urging organizations to begin migration, while two Executive Orders issued in June further accelerate the federal government's quantum preparedness. Executive Order 14412 directs federal agencies toward NIST-approved post-quantum cryptography, establishes migration deadlines for high-value federal systems and extends that effort outward through critical-infrastructure planning and future federal contractor requirements. Executive Order 14413 reinforces a broader national strategy for quantum readiness, including cooperation with and adoption of quantum-related standards across the private sector. Together, these actions underscore a growing recognition that preparation cannot be limited to government systems alone.
The AI & Post-Quantum Readiness Pledge provides organizations with a practical starting point for action. Signatories commit to inventorying cryptographic assets and dependencies, prioritizing systems exposed to harvest-now-decrypt-later risk, planning a NIST-aligned roadmap for PQE migration, engaging vendors and suppliers on their own migration timelines, and reporting progress to executive leadership or the board at least annually.
"Organizations best positioned for the quantum era will be those whose leaders choose to act before they are forced to," said Drew Davis, SVP of Strategy for Symmatrics. "When PQC migration is done right, it should only have to be done once. Symmatrics' Integrated Trust Layer is built to make that possible through the continuous delivery of one-time-use true symmetric keys at Internet scale, a mathematically-unbreakable solution so you stay secure even as the threat evolves."
Founding Signatories include:
- Dulles Law
- C-Suite Success
- The Reddix Group
- Fundamental Data
- Next PR LLC
- AiPi LLC
- Fibonacci Group LLC
- Fairfax County Economic Development Authority
- Global Symmetric Key Infrastructure Consortium
- Autogen AI
"Dulles Law is proud to be a Founding Signatory of the pledge," said Amber Pezan, Esq., and Managing Partner. "Preparing for the AI and quantum era is no longer simply a technology issue. It is a matter of corporate governance, risk management, and long-term business resilience. Our clients come to us because we are risk mitigation experts. We understand the intersection between risk mitigation and business success. Symmatrics' technology gives me peace of mind for defending a company's data and ultimately, the ability to operate securely."
The pledge also reflects the increasingly enterprise-wide nature of post-quantum preparedness. Migration will require more than replacing individual algorithms or making a single technology decision. It will involve coordination across security and technology teams, executive leadership, boards, vendors, and supply chains, thus making early visibility and planning increasingly important.
For Symmatrics, convening the pledge is part of a broader effort to advance the post-quantum conversation from awareness toward meaningful action. The pledge's founding cohort represents an initial group of organizations willing to make that commitment publicly, with additional organizations now invited to join.
The pledge is voluntary and does not certify, guarantee, or warrant a security outcome, product, or compliance status, nor does participation imply endorsement of a particular vendor or solution. Rather, the initiative establishes a shared commitment to taking deliberate steps toward greater cryptographic resilience.
