Ontario, CA September 20, 2026 --(PR.com)-- South West Logistics Inc., a provider of healthcare equipment logistics, delivery and installation services, recently completed an accelerated medical equipment installation in Rancho Santa Margarita, California, after receiving the assignment with less than a week's notice.
South West Logistics received the project at approximately 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 14. A full truckload of equipment arrived at the company's Ontario facility the following day, leaving a short window to receive, organize and prepare the equipment for installation.
To accommodate the project, South West Logistics rearranged an existing delivery route and mobilized a six-person crew that arrived at the Rancho Santa Margarita site at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, September 17.
The original project included equipment for 33 rooms. Once onsite, the SWL team learned that nine rooms were still under completion and were not yet available for installation.
The team adjusted the scope in real time and concentrated its resources on the 24 rooms that were ready.
Across those rooms, South West Logistics unboxed, placed and installed the equipment, completing 72 individual wall-mounted installations, including sharps containers, diagnostic equipment and glove-box holders. The project also included approximately 30 Mayo carts and step-on cans, along with additional equipment placement and staging.
Equipment intended for areas that were not yet available was organized in a designated location onsite, ready for use as those rooms became available.
A two-person SWL installation crew returned Friday to finish the remaining available work. At approximately 2:30 p.m. on September 18, every room that had been made available to South West Logistics was complete—in time for the customer's scheduled Monday opening.
“When we received the project Monday, the deadline wasn't going to move,” said Scott Sloan, Director of Operations for South West Logistics. “Our responsibility was to figure out how to make it happen. We rearranged an existing route, mobilized our team and adjusted when conditions changed onsite. By Friday afternoon, every room available to us was ready for the customer's Monday opening.”
