New CAD import and map editing tools empower admins to move from raw architectural files to a live, accurate, configurable workplace map in seconds from within the Robin platform

BOSTON, Sept. 10, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Robin, a leading workplace operations platform, today announced two new Move Management capabilities that let workplace teams create and update their own office maps: a CAD file uploader and an in-platform map editor. The tools empower workplace admins, facilities managers and office managers to build and maintain accurate office maps directly inside Robin, without relying on outside CAD expertise.

The office map is the key tool employees use to decide where to work, collaborate, and navigate around the office. But keeping it accurate has been one of the hardest parts of running a workplace. A new wall or a department shuffle has historically required going back to architects, designers or vendor support and waiting days or weeks for an updated drawing. The alternative was integrated workspace management software (IWMS), which is complex, expensive and intended for managing real estate assets across a global portfolio, not for changing one floor's layout this week.

Now workplace teams can update a file and Robin's AI generates a map in seconds, allowing administrators to confirm what should be included and instantly make those edits. Additionally, if a customer has a CAD file, they can upload it to an existing map without losing the desks, spaces, meeting rooms, neighborhoods and other resources already in place.
