Storage keeps the files while Newforma Konekt keeps the context

It puts files stored in Egnyte next to the project record they belong to: the RFIs, submittals, action items, correspondence, and approvals that show what happened and when, giving AECO project workflows the context a storage folder can't carry.

Many AECO firms run both kinds of system. Egnyte holds the large files: drawings, specifications, models. Newforma Konekt is the industry's single view into the many sources of truth on a project, no matter where the information started.

This connector gives Egnyte and Newforma users a complete project record that brings together critical documentation and communications, including RFIs, submittals and Teams messages. It also provides a clear history of project decisions, showing who asked questions, who responded and when. Without it, answering a single RFI can require searching through folders and downloading drawings before returning to the record to write a response.

Once a project is linked to Egnyte, project teams can:

• Preview without downloading. View PDF and image files inline, which matters for large drawing sets and for people working from a home office or a job site.
• Upload files from Newforma Konekt to Egnyte. Attach a file to an RFI or submittal response.
• Search connected folders. Find files, returning only what the user is allowed to see.
• Track what went out. See version and audit details in place, and generate a record copy each time a file is shared.
