Be an informed investor - Protect yourself against fraudulent schemes
TORONTO, Sept. 5, 2025 /CNW/ - The Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO) is warning investors about AnteraCapital 365, a fraudulent firm operating through the websites anteracapital365[.]com (in the U.K.) and anteracapital365[.]net (in Canada) that has been falsely claiming affiliation with SIG North Trading, ULC, a legitimate CIRO-registered firm.
AnteraCapital 365 fraudulently states that it is a "dedicated branch of" and "operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of" SIG North Trading, ULC on its website. Investors should be aware that AnteraCapital 365 has no connection to SIG North Trading, ULC and should avoid dealing with this firm.
To Protect Yourself Against Fraud:
- Only deal with appropriately registered firms.
- Report suspicious activities where unregistered entities either claim to be regulated by CIRO or work for CIRO to CIRO immediately.
- Avoid sharing personal or financial information without confirming the legitimacy of the request.
