SYRACUSE, N.Y. and BOONE, N.C., Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Fuse Oncology and Associated Medical Professionals of NY (AMP), an affiliate of U.S. Urology Partners, a General Atlantic company, today announced a strategic collaboration under which AMP will run a proof of concept of FuseRx, the clinical workflow platform for radiation oncology, at its Center of Advanced Radiation Excellence in Syracuse. 

Urology and radiation oncology meet at prostate cancer. It is the most common cancer in American men after skin cancer — the American Cancer Society expects about 333,800 new cases in 2026 — and it is diagnosed, in almost every case, by a urologist. Roughly a third of men with localized disease go on to radiation as their primary treatment. Many large independent urology groups, AMP among them, have brought radiation oncology in-house so that a patient is diagnosed, counseled and treated by one team. The workflow behind that care, though, still runs across separate systems.

FuseRx is built to take a patient from consult to treatment with the physician, physicist, dosimetrist, therapist and nurse working from one plan. The proof of concept at AMP starts with the physician's consult workflow — the consult note and treatment intent, with the applicable ACRO pathway at the point of decision — and will extend to the other roles as the full workflow rolls out over the coming months. FuseRx works with the EMR and oncology information system a practice already has. Fuse and ACRO announced their agreement to integrate ACRO's clinical pathways into Fuse's software in March 2025.

The proof of concept is led by Steven E. Finkelstein, MD, DABR, FACRO, FASTRO, National Director of the Center of Advanced Radiation Excellence and Director of Radiation Oncology Research for AMP and U.S. Urology Partners. Dr. Finkelstein was named a Fellow of the American Society for Radiation Oncology in July 2026, serves on ACRO's Board of Chancellors and chairs the board of ACRO's Luther Brady Foundation. In August, his team at AMP treated the first patient in the United States under Pluvicto's newly approved indication for metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer.
