So he decided to build it himself.
With no experience in silicone manufacturing, Nelson taught himself silicone mold making by watching YouTube videos. He turned a spare bedroom into a home silicone studio, where he made about 40 versions of his prototype, experimenting with different shapes and firmnesses.
“Honestly, when my wife and I first tested the early SOLEHOLE prototypes, we were kind of shocked at how well it worked,” Nelson said. “I gave out copies to my friends to try, and they couldn’t believe I actually invented this thing.”
Customers have since echoed that enthusiasm. SOLEHOLE holds an average customer rating of 4.7 out of 5 stars, with reviews stating “Game changer” and “Best product for feet guys.”
“This isn’t just another differently shaped version of something that already exists,” Nelson said. “I think we made something genuinely new. When people actually try it, they get it. I think within the next few years, SOLEHOLE is going to be a staple in the foot fetish community.”
