FAIRFAX CITY, Va., Aug. 18, 2025
FAIRFAX CITY, Va., Aug. 18, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Fairfax City Economic Development (FCED) is pleased to announce that SweetScience Marketing, a full-service marketing agency, is relocating its operations from downtown Washington, D.C., to the Mason Enterprise Center Fairfax (MEC), located in WillowWood Plaza at 10300 Eaton Place.
SweetScience's mission is simple: to turn challenger brands into champions. The agency has worked with category leaders, understands their strategies, and, most importantly, knows how to beat them. From concept to execution, SweetScience develops tailored strategies that help ambitious brands outperform their competition.
The relocation, supported by the Fairfax City Business Investment Grant, places SweetScience in a resource-rich entrepreneurial hub. This grant supports companies choosing to locate in the city by offsetting initial leasing and operational costs in exchange for their active participation in strengthening the city's economic vitality. The MEC, operated in partnership with George Mason University and FCED, offers flexible office space, business mentoring, and networking opportunities for startups, small businesses, and growth-stage companies across Northern Virginia.
"SweetScience has been a valuable partner to FCED through their work on the John Cabot University fellowship program, where they helped our fellows produce compelling marketing collateral to attract Italian businesses to Fairfax City," said Marie Spittell, senior assistant director of business investment at Fairfax City Economic Development. "They produce exceptional work that directly supports our business attraction and retention efforts, and we're honored to welcome them to Fairfax City officially."
"From the moment we began exploring Fairfax City, the welcome has been incredible," said Tom Conti, CEO of SweetScience Marketing. "The support network here—from the team at Fairfax City Economic Development to the staff at the Mason Enterprise Center—has been actively working to connect us with partners, clients, and resources. The location is perfect for our business development goals, giving us easy access to the entire Northern Virginia market while keeping us close to D.C."
"Having SweetScience join the Mason Enterprise Center Fairfax as a tenant adds a dynamic new presence to our small business incubator community," said Eddie Hill, business incubator director at the Mason Enterprise Center. "Their creative expertise and experience supporting a wide array of brands make them a valuable addition to our network, and we're excited to support their continued growth."
SweetScience will move into its new MEC office by October 1, 2025, and plans to actively engage in the city's business ecosystem through mentoring programs, educational events, and collaborative initiatives. For more information about the MEC, please visit mec-fairfax.org.
