Author and spiritual leader Apostle Paul Benjamin has officially launched a nationwide Gun Violence Prevention Webinar Campaign to train and Equip Parents, Teachers, Pastors, Law Enforcement, Counselors, and concerned individuals on how to identify key warning indicators that could help prevent the next mass shooting or suicide.
While political figures and certain media outlets often rush to blame gun control or the manufacturer, Benjamin is positioning this initiative as a movement to address the root cause of all gun violence and every other form of crime and malicious acts perpetrated in society. The campaign is rooted in the key principles outlined in his Book, “No Child Without A Dad,” where Benjamin describes some pivotal issues resulting in the Parkland School Shooting in Florida, and other cities across America.
Benjamin has written extensively on fatherhood and family dynamics and their impact on the mental health of their children, who are now adults. Just one look at Washington, D.C.: 90% of the crimes are coming from the fatherless urban community. In his book No Child Without A Dad, the panacea for America, he unpacks powerful principles that, properly implemented, can turn the tide in our nation. He envisions training other leaders on how to effectively impact their cities using many of the principles outlined in his books.
About Seventy Percent of Children are Being Raised in Homes without Their Biological Fathers
In a recent interview, Benjamin explained that 70 to 80 percent of abuse occurs when children are being raised by their single moms. Subsequently, many end up in multiple blended family dynamics. Benjamin said, “The role of a father is to serve, protect, and defend his wife and children, but in many cases the children do not bond with their step-father or, in many cases, their mother's boyfriend.”
Benjamin draws a clear parallel between gun violence and the healthy balance of having an engaged father within a family. This comparison is the bedrock of his campaign, which he believes addresses a deeper crisis of fatherlessness, crime, suicide, mental health, and gender identity in America.
In Benjamin's view, men and fathers face significant marginalization in modern society, particularly in the media and public discourse. He cites current cultural debates, such as the involvement of men in women's sports and issues surrounding gender identity, as contributing factors to what he calls a “major identity crisis” facing young men and fathers today.
